Pet Diagnostics in Falcon, CO
Diagnostic technologies are important tools that can be used for routine screening as well as to help determine the cause of an illness or injury.
At Animal Hospital of Falcon, diagnostic imaging includes radiographs (x-rays) and ultrasound, both of which are used to collect information on your pet's health. They are non-invasive techniques that can provide rapid answers or insight into many conditions.
Comprehensive preventive care as well as diagnosing emergent health issues requires the ability to perform a wide range of laboratory tests on blood, urine, and feces. We have an in-house laboratory that allows us to perform "real-time" laboratory work such as urinalysis, parasite identification, electrolytes, red/white blood cell parameters (hematology), and complete chemistry profiles to assess liver and kidney function. In some cases, we can receive results within minutes. Our lab is also useful for helping us properly evaluate your pet prior to any procedure requiring anesthesia. Additional tests may be sent to an outside lab for interpretation by a pathologist. If so, we will notify you as soon as the results are available.
Please don’t hesitate to ask about special screening for your senior pet.
We have been bringing our dogs to Animal Hospital of Falcon since we moved to Falcon. The staff and doctors are very friendly, and our dogs love them. They have been with us through both the good times and the not so good times. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a veterinarian.
